Each time I visit a pizzeria , when I order a bowl of pasta or when I want to lift my moods, garlic bread is a must ! It sings simplicity and after my school the one thing that I brag my mom to cook for me is a humble garlic bread. Always while cooking you should trust your instincts and never give up on yourself. The most amazing point about cooking is that you have the rights to experiment, be creative , invent and to make use of your imagination. This is the main reason that I am so immersed in cooking , it has no boundaries.
The key points that a garlic bread should have:
- a nice warm bread - to soak up the flavors
- onions - for the caramelization
- herbs like chives or oregano- for the freshness
- seasoning such as salt and pepper - increases flavor
- olive oil and butter - makes it luxurious
More than a crispy ,toasty one I prefer a soft and flavorsome one. I always add cheese at the end to this heavenly delight. Another important fact in preparing a garlic bread is the exact temperature that you would wanna bake . One of the most important factors that makes it appetizing is the garlicky aroma that just flows through the kitchen.
You can actually try mixing these ingredients with a nice amount of butter and then spread it evenly over the bread and then bake it.
The one thing that can compete with the garlic bread as a starter can be some crackling fries. If you would like to add on something different to it, olives would be a good option.
If you are in a confusion of choosing the most apt cheese, it would be mozzarella, parmesan or cheddar.
This is something that people of all ages will love and as a kid I'm saying that garlic has been one of the most wondrous creations of all time and anything made from it should be lip-smacking. But the most important thing about garlic is that it is an extremely strong ingredient and it should be used mildly as the over usage of it just demolishes the dish. And what is special about it is that even if used mildly it could be the hero of the dish.
